今回の講演大会では、研究室から
M1の宇野くんが「新製銑」セッションで口頭発表を行いました。
発表テーマは
「ゲーサイトを含む塊鉱石の熱分解が還元挙動に与える影響」。
含水酸化鉄鉱物であるゲーサイトの熱分解挙動が、
塊鉱石の還元反応にどのように影響するかを評価した研究です。
また、昆先生は討論会
「製銑プロセスにおける計測技術の現状と高度化に向けた課題」
において、研究会の最終報告を発表しました。
討論会では、
• TDLASによるガス分析
• 光ファイバ温度センサ（FBG）
など、製銑プロセス研究を支える先端計測技術について活発な議論が行われました。
学会では、研究室のOBとも再会する機会がありました。
現在それぞれが鉄鋼プロセスに関わる研究・開発に携わっており、
高炉用ペレットのシャフト炉利用の課題などについて
同じ土俵で議論することができました。
数年前に卒業した頃と比べても、
大きく成長している姿を見ることができ、とても嬉しい再会でした。
学生が学会で発表し、研究者として成長していく姿を見ることは、
研究室として何より嬉しい瞬間の一つです。
今後もこうした学会活動を通じて、
学生たちが研究者として経験を積み、成長していくことを期待しています。
The 191st ISIJ Spring Meeting
We attended the 191st ISIJ Spring Meeting, held at Chiba Institute of Technology.
From our laboratory, Mr. Kaichi Uno (M1) presented his research in the New Ironmaking session.
His presentation focused on the effect of goethite decomposition on the reduction behavior of lump iron ore.
The study investigates how the thermal decomposition of goethite influences the reduction reactions of iron ore lumps.
Dr. Tatsuya Kon also presented in the discussion session entitled
“Current Status and Future Challenges of Measurement Technologies in Ironmaking Processes.”
In this session, the final results of a collaborative research group were reported, and advanced measurement approaches such as
• TDLAS gas analysis
• fiber Bragg grating (FBG) temperature sensing
were actively discussed as key technologies supporting ironmaking process research.
The conference also provided a valuable opportunity to reconnect with former members of our laboratory.
Many of them are now working in research and development related to ironmaking processes.
We had stimulating discussions on topics such as the use of blast furnace pellets in shaft furnace processes.
It was especially rewarding to see how much they have grown since their time in the lab.
Seeing our students present their research and develop as researchers through academic conferences is always one of the most rewarding aspects of running a laboratory.
