材料工学科3年生向けの研究室配属説明会が行われました。
大野研究室の紹介を担当してくれたのは、修士1年の岩橋君です。
彼は、学部3年生の配属希望時点から博士課程進学を視野に入れて大野研を選択した学生で、
現在も博士進学予定者として研究に取り組んでいます。
今回は「教員が話す研究室紹介」ではなく、
学生の立場から見た研究内容・研究室の雰囲気・配属後のリアルな流れを中心に説明してもらいました。
これから研究室配属を考える学生にとって、より具体的にイメージしやすい時間になったのではないかと思います。
なお、本日の説明会は配属を決定する場ではありません。
あくまで、研究室に興味を持ってもらうためのきっかけです。

Today, we held a laboratory introduction session for third-year undergraduate students in the Department of Materials Engineering.
The presentation for Ohno Laboratory was given by Mr. Iwahashi, a first-year master’s student.
He chose Ohno Lab already at the B3 stage with a clear intention of advancing to a PhD program,
and he is currently conducting research as a prospective doctoral student.
Rather than a conventional faculty-led introduction,
this session focused on a student’s perspective—including research topics, daily laboratory life,
and what the first year after laboratory assignment actually looks like.
We believe this provided a more realistic and concrete picture for students considering their future laboratory placement.
Please note that this session was not intended to determine laboratory assignments.
It is meant to serve as a starting point for students to explore their interests.
If you are curious, you are very welcome to visit the laboratory or request an individual consultation.
In particular,
students who are already considering doctoral studies from the undergraduate level
are encouraged to consult with us early, as special consultation and guidance schemes are available.
