2026年1月22日、大野研究室では
三菱重工 より 赤間大地 博士 をお迎えし、
非鉄金属合金の乾式製錬によるリサイクル技術をテーマに、産学交流ミーティングを実施しました。

赤間博士は、
九州大学 材料工学科・高木研究室（現・土山研究室）ご出身で、
九州大学にて助教として教育・研究に携わった後、企業研究者として第一線で活躍されています。

ディスカッションの主な内容

今回の意見交換では、以下の点について議論しました。

• 乾式製錬による非鉄金属リサイクルプロセスの基本思想
• 実操業における技術的制約とスケールアップの課題
• 資源循環・脱炭素社会を見据えたリサイクル技術の将来像

基礎研究・大学教育・実プロセスという三つの視点から議論することで、
研究と産業をつなぐ具体的な課題が共有されました。

プロセス系研究室に質問・相談に行くことはごく自然な行動です。

「将来どんな専門に進みたいか」
によって広がっていきます。

On January 22, we welcomed Dr. Daichi Akama from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries for an industry–academia discussion on pyrometallurgical recycling of non-ferrous metal alloys.

Dr. Akama is a graduate of the Department of Materials at Kyushu University and previously served as an Assistant Professor before moving to industry. His career path highlights an important message for students:
your future specialization is not limited by your original laboratory.

Through discussions on recycling processes, industrial constraints, and decarbonization, we emphasized the importance of crossing boundaries between materials science and process engineering—a perspective we strongly encourage in the Ohno Laboratory.
