講義を終えて ― 学びから研究室へつながる一年

令和7年度の担当講義がすべて終了しました。

今年度は、基礎科目から専門科目まで多くの学生の皆さんと向き合う一年となりました。

中でも、選択科目の**「鉄鋼製錬学」**は例年より受講生が多く、30名を超える履修となったことは、担当教員として嬉しい驚きでした。

講義中の質問やリアクションからも、材料工学・冶金分野への関心が確実に高まっていることを感じました。

講義はゴールではなく、研究への入り口です。

この一年の学びを通じて、材料工学や製鉄・冶金に「少し面白そうだ」と感じてくれた学生が、

次年度の研究室配属で一歩踏み出してくれれば、これ以上嬉しいことはありません。

Closing the Lecture Series — From Classroom Learning to Research

All lectures assigned for Academic Year 2025 (R7) have now been completed.

It was a rewarding year of teaching, engaging with students across both fundamental and advanced courses.

In particular, the elective course “Iron and Steelmaking” attracted more than 30 students, exceeding the usual enrollment.

This was a pleasant surprise and a clear sign of growing interest in materials engineering and metallurgy.

Lectures are not the final goal—they are the starting point for research.

If this year’s classes sparked even a small curiosity about materials, ironmaking, or metallurgy,

and that curiosity leads students toward laboratory research in the coming year, it would be the most gratifying outcome as an educator.
