学会前日の休日を利用し、Verona から列車で Venice を訪れました。
アドリア海から吹く風、運河に差し込む柔らかな光、ゆっくりと移ろう街の表情——
世界有数の観光地でありながら、ヴェネツィアには研究者の思考を静かに整えてくれる独特の空気があります。
連日の研究討論や技術交流が続く海外出張の中で、
こうした「余白の時間」を持てることも、国際学会に参加する醍醐味の一つです。
学生の皆さんへ
国際舞台で研究を進めるということは、成果発表だけでなく、

— Finding a Moment of Reflection in Venice (October 5, 2025)
On October 5, 2025, we arrived in Italy for ESTAD 2025.
Using the day before the conference, we traveled by train from Verona to Venice.
In Venice, the breeze from the Adriatic Sea, the light reflecting off the canals, and the city’s unhurried rhythm offered a sense of calm and reflection.
Amid an intense schedule of research discussions and technical exchanges, this kind of “space” is one of the unique rewards of international travel.
For students considering global research careers, such moments remind us that academic journeys are not only about conferences and results, but also about gaining perspective through culture, place, and time.
