2025年10月4日、ESTAD 2025 に向けた欧州出張の行程の一環として、週末の移動日を利用しアムステルダムを訪れました。
この日は研究機関訪問から少し離れ、Rijksmuseum を訪問。
レンブラント、フェルメール、ゴッホ など、オランダが誇る巨匠たちの作品を鑑賞しました。
最先端の研究議論とは異なる角度から、文化や歴史に触れる時間は、思考をリセットし視野を広げてくれます。
夜には、同行していた学生の誕生日をギリシャ料理店でお祝い。
連日の研究・議論が続く出張の中で、チームとしての結束を深める、良いリフレッシュの時間となりました。

— Finding Space Beyond Research in Amsterdam (October 4, 2025)
On October 4, 2025, during our European trip leading up to ESTAD 2025, we used a weekend travel day to visit Amsterdam.
We spent the day at the Rijksmuseum, appreciating masterpieces by Rembrandt, Johannes Vermeer, and Vincent van Gogh.
Experiencing art and history offered a refreshing contrast to technical discussions and helped reset our perspective.
In the evening, we celebrated a student’s birthday at a Greek restaurant.
Amid an intense research-focused trip, this moment provided a welcome pause and strengthened our sense of team.
For students interested in international research careers, such experiences highlight that global research is not only about experiments and data, but also about cultural exchange, human connections, and the broader perspective they bring.
