9月16日〜19日、北海道大学 にて開催された
日本金属学会 および日本鉄鋼協会 の秋季講演大会に、大野研究室として参加しました。
本大会では、高校生から大学院生、教員まで世代を超えたメンバーが、
「製鉄の脱炭素」を軸とする多様なテーマで発表を行いました。
学会発表は、研究成果を社会に問うだけでなく、研究者として成長する重要な訓練の場でもあります。

学生ポスターセッションにおいて、**岩橋諒 君（M1）**が 奨励賞 を受賞しました。
九州支部大会での悔しい経験を糧に、研究を磨き上げて臨んだ成果です。
地道な努力が、学会という公の場で評価されることを体現してくれました。
今回の経験を通して、
「研究をまとめ、発表し、議論する力」が確実に育っています。
次の目標は、国際学会での発表と挑戦です。

Conference Participation Report
— Autumn 2025 Meetings of JIM & ISIJ
From September 16 to 19, members of the Ohno Laboratory participated in the Autumn Meetings of the
Japan Institute of Metals and Materials and the
Iron and Steel Institute of Japan,
held at Hokkaido University.
Students ranging from high school to graduate level, together with faculty members, presented research covering a wide spectrum of decarbonized ironmaking and steelmaking technologies.
These conferences provided an invaluable opportunity not only to disseminate results, but also to develop essential skills in scientific communication and discussion.
A particular highlight was the Encouragement Award received by Mr. Ryo Iwahashi (M1) at the student poster session—an achievement earned through steady effort and growth.
Building on these experiences, our next goal is to expand our activities to international conferences.
For students interested in materials science and metallurgy, academic conferences represent the gateway to the global research community—and the next step in your research journey.
