昨年末から準備を重ね、工学研究院内の選考→九州大学全体でのセレクションを経て、今回文科省での説明の機会をいただいたものです。関係者の皆さまに感謝です🙏
旧庁舎と今の庁舎、まさかの玄関を間違えるという“お役所あるある”も無事（？）コンプリート😂
「資源循環 × 脱炭素 × 国際連携」をキーワードに、未来の社会と産業に資する研究体制を丁寧にご説明してきました🌏⚙️

On 29 May, I had the opportunity to present our major budget proposal to Japan’s Ministry of Education (MEXT),
advocating for the Circular Metallurgy Research Center initiative from Kyushu University 👨‍🏫📄
This presentation followed a long preparation period since late last year, with multiple rounds of internal selection — first within the Faculty of Engineering, then at the university-wide level. I’m deeply grateful to everyone involved 🙏
Of course, I also experienced the classic “which entrance is correct?” moment between the old and new government buildings… 😂
In the session, I highlighted our core vision: resource circulation, decarbonization, and global collaboration as foundations for future society and industry 🌏⚙️
Whether or not I’ll return to MEXT again, I sincerely hope this will lead to positive outcomes and partnerships!
