8月9日、令和6年度東北大学多元物質科学研究所金属資源プロセス研究センターワークショップ「鉄鋼スラグ特性の最適化」に参加してきました。
このワークショップでは、東北大学の助永先生による「スラグ物性制御への期待」と日本製鋼所の深谷博士による「スラグ資源リサイクルの最前線」の講演に加え、現在東北大学に客員教授として滞在している浦項工科大学のカン・ユンベ教授による特別講演がありました。
カン教授は私と同世代で、昔からの知り合いで旧交を温めて来ました🍻
On 9th August, I participated in the FY 2024 Tohoku University Institute of Multidisciplinary Research for Materials Research Center for Metal Resources Processes Workshop👨🏫, titled “Optimization of Steel Slag Properties.”
At this workshop, in addition to a lecture by Tohoku University Associate Professor Sohei Sukenaga titled “Expectations for Slag Property Control” and a lecture by Dr. Hiroshi Fukaya of the Japan Steel Works, Ltd. titled “The Frontline of Slag Resource Recycling,” there was a special lecture by Professor Youn-Bae KANG of Pohang University of Science and Technology, who is currently staying at Tohoku University as a visiting professor.
Professor Kang is from the same generation as me and is a long-time acquaintance of mine🤝
I came there to renew my old friendship🍻
